About Colonial Community The The Colonial Community program supports these competencies through a focus on recognition, community building, and work life balance programs for GW Employees. Core Operational Competencies
These core operational competencies were initially developed by the Employee Culture and Appreciation Subcommittee of the Employee Core Group in February 2004. They have been further expanded and put into action. Subcommittees The various subcommittees under Colonial Community are divided into specialization areas. Each subcommittee works to create University-wide activities, events and resources which fall under this specialization. We are currently in the process of re-structuring our subcommittees! How to get involved in Colonial Community Events -Ever dreamed of being a party planner on the side? Do you have a favorite hobby or interest you'd like to organize people around? Get involved by joining an existing subcommittee, signing up to be a volunteer for large events, or work with Colonial Community to create an interest group for staff members around your favorite hobby!
