Subcommittee Participants
The various subcommittees under Colonial Community are divided into specialization areas. Each subcommittee works to create University-wide activities, events and resources which fall under this specialization.
Recognition
The Recognition Subcommittee is responsible for developing and implementing activities that allow the university to regularly reward the work of GW employees throughout the entire University.
Community Building
The Community Building Subcommittee is responsible for the events that increase interaction among GW staff and build a sense of community and camaraderie, while promoting an affiliation with the entire GW community.
Work-Life
The Work-Life Subcommittee works to provide resources and opportunities that improve work-life balance for GW staff members in all walks of life. This balance includes a variety of things, from family services to personal improvement.
Health & Recreation
The Health & Recreation Subcommittee is responsible for developing programs that promote healthy living, friendly competition, and teamwork among GW staff.
Communications
The Communications Subcommittee supports the efforts of each subcommittee in the communication, planning, and advertising of events. This subcommittee acts as a consultant body to subcommittees in the planning of regular events, and works to communicate those events across GW campuses.
The Virginia Campus Subcommittee is responsible for helping organize recognition, community building, work-life, and health & recreation events and programs at the VA campus. In addition, the subcommittee helps develop new programs specific to the needs and interests of VA campus staff.
