The Free Language Classes Global Language Group offers over 100 survival and immersion classes in 45 different languages. All
classes are free and open to the public. There is no registration
necessary for survival classes meeting one hour per week. Immersion
classes meeting two to five hours per week and require registration and
a $100 deposit. The deposit is returned within 90 days if the student
has missed no more than 3 classes. Blood Drives Help save a life by donating blood at one of Colonial Donors upcoming blood drives. Blood drives are held regularly around the GW campus and are open to all who wish to donate. Check out Colonial Donors site for a schedule of upcoming events and more information on donating blood. One of the best ways to
protect yourself from the flu is by getting a flu shot. GW's Student
Health offers flu shots on-campus to students, faculty and staff for

Free Health Education Seminars The GW Hospital offers weekly seminars on a variety of health-related topics. Seminars are free and open to the public. To see a list of upcoming seminars, check out: https://www.gwhospital.com/. You might also want to check out the Free Prostate Cancer Screenings that are offered by the hospital every Friday morning. The Kalb Report GW staff are invited to join The George Washington University, the National Press Club, and the Shorenstein Center for the highly acclaimed public affairs series, "The Kalb Report." Marvin Kalb, a distinguished journalist and scholar, hosts one-on-one interviews and panel discussions with many of the biggest names in journalism, government, and politics. The show takes place at the National Press Club before a live audience. Jazz Jam Enjoy live music during your lunchtime! Every
Friday of the semester from 12:00 – 2:00 pm the GW’s music department
hosts a Jazz Jam in room B-120, Phillips Hall. The faculty jazz group
begins each session with a 30-minute performance after which students
are invited to sit in. It is open to anyone in the general public who
wants to come and play or just listen. |
